OPER Name Changes to ORE
Effective in May 2009, the long-standing Office of Program Evaluation and Research (OPER) within the Ohio Department of Mental Health was renamed the Office of Research and Evaluation (ORE). This office became part of ODMH's Division of the Medical Director in late 2008, moving from the Division of Administrative Services. OPER Chief Dee Roth, M.A., retired at the end of April 2009 with more than three decades of service to the Department and the mental health system.
New Data Bulletin Series Published
The ODMH Office of Research and Evaluation (ORE) has developed a series of Data Bulletins to characterize individuals receiving services in Ohio's public mental health system or highlight important mental health issues. Check it out!
New Report Published!
To produce this report, Hospitalization of Children and Adolescents with Medicaid Coverage in SFY 2007, ORE staff queried the Ohio Medicaid Information System (MIS) to determine frequencies of psychiatric hospitalization among children and adolescents in 2007. Geographic distributions and lengths of stay were also calculated.
