Client Rights and Advocacy

To achieve high quality mental health outcomes for consumers of mental health services, the Ohio Department of Mental Health (ODMH) strives to ensure the protection of consumer rights through its Office of Consumer Advocacy and Protection. In addition, a number of state and local organizations help consumers and their families understand their illness, their rights and the mental health system. These include:
